csmodsThis is a Homestuck human!AU set in modern-day New York City.
The city is rife with crime, and overrun with five powerful gangs. Each gang controls one borough and regularly fight each other over territory, drugs, money or just because they can. It’s only a matter of time before complete and total anarchy consume the city.
That’s where the crack team of five detectives and two attorneys come in. They have been assigned the task of cleaning up New York City, making it a safe place to live once again. Not only do they have to combat the streets, they have opposition in their own government. The mayor is a very corrupt man, taking bribes and kickbacks from any organization willing to pay the price. Thankfully, an adviser close to the mayor and a FBI agent are working together to help bring him down.
The RPing here will be face-to-face, unless otherwise stated in a tag like “citystuck: internet” or something like that. That being said, there’s no reason for the trolls to use their quirks, so don’t worry about that!
Also, a quick note about the trolls who are not in The Highbloods. The AU canon is that five years ago Karkat, Aradia, Tavros, Sollux, Nepeta and Kanaya were all abducted by The Highbloods to be sold. Karkat, Aradia, Tavros and Sollux escaped and lived on the streets for a month or two before being found by the Midnight Crew. Nepeta and Kanaya were pitied by the Skaians, and were bought to be saved from a life of servitude. The six of them began working with their respective gangs out of gratitude for saving them. And each kid and troll are in college studying, trying to "broaden their horizons".
